Moran Golf Tours

Specialised golf tours to St Andrews, Scotland and across the UK, Tasmania and King Island and New Zealand Golf tours

As a boutique golf tour company, we provide our tour guests with unique and authentic golf and cultural experiences as part of our specialist golf packages to UK, Australian and New Zealand. We take our guests to truly special places for golfers, including traditional Scottish and UK golf tour packages to the ‘home of golf’ in St Andrews, the New Zealand golf tours to the nation’s spectacular golf courses, and Australian tours to our world-acclaimed golf courses at Tasmania and King Island.

Golf tours guided by PGA Professionals

Guests get something a little different from our golf tour company; the chance to travel and play golf with PGA professionals including Kieran Moran and others, who truly enjoy helping guests refine their game as the tour progresses, and also having a post-game drink at the ‘nineteenth hole’ throughout the trip.

We ensure our PGA Professional tour guides have every opportunity to coach our tour guests throughout the tour; that includes in scheduled PGA clinics and also through in-game coaching.

British golf tours taken by native Scottish PGA Professional Kieran Moran

Kieran’s Scottish heritage brings a unique element to our golf tour packages; he has grown up playing golf where the tradition and culture all began, and it is this connection to St Andrews that we can give our UK tour guests that sets us apart. He’s also a true ‘Scottish character’ – approachable, and full of good tales. We’re a little biased, but we certainly recommend joining one of our golf tours to the UK, New Zealand or Tasmania.

Backed by industry accreditation with the IAGTO

We are pleased and proud to be members of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators, the IAGTO, a global golf tourism organisation that brings together the industry’s best in the golf industry from all around the world to share insights and provide each other with access to golfing opportunities for their guests. By joining the IAGTO, we can pass onto our guests opportunities to play golf in some of the world;s best locations at the best rates. Membership to the IAGTO is also an assurance to our guests that we uphold the strictest of standards and act in accordance with their charter.

Small-group tours of 16 – 20 people

We believe that our guest’s experiences on our tours are amplified when the tour numbers are small because it allows us to ensure our tours are well-managed, that the details are all adequately checked and cross-checked, and that we are nimble enough to address any unforeseen circumstances that pop-up whilst on tour. With these parameters, we can also provide guests with value-added services, like assistance with hire-clubs, help with airport transfers and other requests as they pop-up.

Keeping our tours numbers small also provides guest has the opportunity to spend valuable time with our PGA Professional tour guides, and to meet and have meaning time time with their fellow tour guest.

Tours packed with luxury hotels and restaurants

At the heart of our golf tours is a focus on providing guests with an amazing experience. And to deliver this, we package our tours with the highest quality service providers in accommodation, restaurants, golf courses and PGA clinics. We want our guests to come back again, and to tell their friends that their experience with us provided them with life-long memories. We want them to expect the best from us, and for them to realise it on our tours.

Money-back guarantee

We want our guests to be confident in booking with us in these uncertain times. As such, we have reduced the deposit for each golf tour to $100, which will hold a guest’s place on the tour until we are able to confirm the tour will proceed. This is point, we will invoice the balance for domestic tours, or a progress payment for international tours. Each tour will have the details of the payment process listed in the tour itinerary. Once the tour is confirmed and the subsequent tour fees invoiced and paid, these amounts are non-refundable.

If a guest has paid a $100 deposit for a tour and the tour is unable to proceed due to Australian Government mandated regulations that prevent us from taking the tour due to travel restrictions, we will reimburse the guests $100.

More information on this is available on our COVID-saftey page.

Almost all-inclusive golf tours

We work hard to make sure our golf tours offer our guests much more than they expected; every aspect of their tour covered from pickup on day one to drop off at tour’s end. That means our tours can include airport transfers, flights if listed, breakfasts daily and lunches and dinners on golfing days, green fees, PGA clinics, transport on-the-ground, and of course twin-share accommodation. We throw in the great company as a added benefit.

As a boutique tour operator, we find the process of creating and managing a tour seamless when all the details are already organised and managed at a central point. And that means, each guest can enjoy the best possible golf tour. We take care of all the details, so our  guests can focus on making every moment count on the golf course, at dinner, or in refining their golf game during our PGA Professional clinics.

We also like to help guests with any additional services they require, such as hire sets while on tour or arranging airport transfers when a guest’s arrangements differ from our tours, even though these aren’t included in the tour fee (and are at the cost of the guest). We want our guests to be happy.

COVID-safe golf tours

We endeavour to provide tour guests with a COVID-safe golf tour and have implemented the following practise to our business, that will be used on-tour, and that are in addition to our existing best-practises.

  • Recording all the contact details of each tour guest and ensuring they are not from coronavirus ‘hot spots’
  • Providing all guests with masks (for times when social distancing isn’t possible) and hand sanitiser and reminding them to adequately clean and sanitise their hand before meals, golf rounds and PGA clinics
  • Checking the current health of each guest, and their possible contact with hot spots or others with the virus, prior to allowing them to travel with us
  • Monitoring the health of all guests and staff while on tour; any showing signs of the virus will need to be sent home
  • Training all tour leaders and Moran Golf Tours staff in COVID-safe practises
  • Staggering dining sittings as necessary to ensure small groups
  • Limiting the locations we visit on golf tours to reduce guest’s exposure to different towns or cities
  • Limiting time spent on transport, including the private coaches we use on tours, to limit the time our guests are not able to socially-distance
  • Enforcing all mandated COVID-safe golf regulations, such as not touching the flag, not allowing hand shaking, and new regulations around submitting score cards. Read more on these golf reactions at the Golf Australia website here.
